XMPP / Jabber
XMPP (also known as Jabber) is an open, decentralized messaging protocol — think of it as a self-hosted alternative to WhatsApp or Signal.
~horse maintains an XMPP communication server running Prosody. All ~horsies can activate their accounts by authenticating to the tilde.horse XMPP server with their UNIX username and password.
Server: tilde.horse (Port: 5222)
